Testosterone boosters are an underrated supplement in the fitness world, as many people often think of them as an illegal steroid or drug.

That is a common misconception because this is an all-natural product with most herbal ingredients.

We noticed the Monster Test Testosterone Booster bottles on sport nutrition shelves and were intrigued when we heard of the long list of ingredients.

So, we plan to test it with some clients to see what it would do for testosterone levels and muscle mass.

What Is Monster Test Testosterone Booster?

Close up shot of Monster Test Testosterone Booster

Monster Test Testosterone Booster is a dietary supplement with natural herbs that may help increase testosterone levels.

The company behind this product is called Angry Supplements, and you’ve probably seen the unique logo of the gorilla on the front of the bottles.

The three main benefits the advertising highlights are:

  1. Muscle mass
  2. Vitality
  3. Strength

Those would undoubtedly sound appealing to any kind of performance athlete trying to get just a bit more out of their trips to the gym.

But these products often fall short of their promises.

Let’s see how it claims to work.

Supplement Facts of Monster Test Testosterone Booster

There are two things I have to say about the ingredients. First of all, the list is very long.

It’s an interesting list, but when it’s so long, it could quickly happen that each natural ingredient is not strong enough to give you a health boost.

Secondly, the exact amounts are hidden behind a proprietary blend.

That makes it challenging to figure out if it’s well formulated.

Here’s what our dietitian had to say.

Tribulus Terrestris

Studies on this herb having positive T count effects are not conclusive, and it seems like there is more of a myth about it. There were some thoughts on how this ingredient could act as a testosterone booster, but there’s no official scientific research behind it [1].

Horny Goat Weed

This ingredient has been popular in Chinese traditional medicine to help with low libido and treat other issues caused by low testosterone levels [2].

You’d expect it to have a significant testosterone impact with a name like that. But studies haven’t confirmed this in human trials.

There are some other potential benefits, such as:

  • Helps fight fatigue
  • It may help with inflammation

Maca Root

This herb has been tied to sex hormone levels, but those studies used quite a high dose that we doubt is included in this product [3].

Some of its promised benefits are:

  • It may increase libido and fertility in men and women
  • It can improve your mood
  • It may boost your athletic performance
  • It’s highly nutritious

Since this product hides behind a proprietary blend, we can’t find out the exact amount of this ingredient, which means we can’t know if there’s any effect of this particular ingredient on testosterone levels.

Fenugreek Seed

Close up shot of Fenugreek Seed

This is another positive ingredient that our dietitian mentioned had some studies to support its use. T boosters with Fenugreek as their primary ingredient tend to be more effective.

Some of its benefits include:

  • Promoting hair growth
  • Managing allergies
  • Lowering high blood pressure

I did notice some improvement in my stamina, which could be attributed to this ingredient.

Saw Palmetto Berry

This berry has only been studied in smaller test groups, but it may have some promising effects.

This ingredient could offer some benefits:

  • May support prostate health
  • May reduce inflammation
  • Helps with urinary tract infections

L-Arginine, L-Carnitine, L-Citrulline

These are amino acids that are mainly tied to strength and endurance.

Some benefits of these amino acids are:

  • Could improve digestion
  • Helps muscles recover
  • Provides energy
  • Could help you lose weight (L-Carnitine)

After taking this supplement, I felt like my recovery time after a workout was shorter and my energy levels more stable, which may be an effect of this ingredient.

Tongkat Ali Extract

This is included, as some studies claim it may boost athletic performance.

Some studies have been conducted about its benefits:

  • It could improve muscle strength
  • It could enhance the immune system
  • It reduces stress and improves mood

I’ve noticed better performance and pumps during my workouts, which can be attributed to this ingredient.

Ginseng

This root has been used in traditional Asian medicine to improve mental and physical energy.

Multiple studies have shown its benefits:

  • It has strong antioxidative properties
  • It can improve your immune system
  • It can fight fatigue

Also, it has some effects on blood sugar levels, reducing inflammation in the body, and improving brain function.

Rhodiola Rosea

Some interesting research has been done on its link to the testosterone and cortisol ratio, which may impact fatigue levels.

Other potential benefits are:

  • It may help manage diabetes
  • It may improve brain function
  • It could reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression

Since this ingredient impacts cortisol levels, I’ve noticed that I feel less stressed and have a better mood and confidence.

“Rhodiola appears to be able to significantly reduce the fatigue and 'burnout' that come from stress and anxiety; numerous trials suggest meaningful effects, particularly in people with stress and anxiety issues.” - Examine.com

Fish Oil

Close up shot of Fish Oil on a hand

There may be some evidence of this being linked to reduced soreness after exercising

Fish oil has a lot of proven benefits, such as:

  • Supporting heart health
  • It could improve your skin quality
  • It may reduce inflammation

But there’ve been a couple of studies that have shown how men who consumed fish oil daily had better sex hormone levels, especially testosterone.

D-Aspartic Acid

Possibly included as a natural ingredient to reduce mental tiredness, which was reported by a couple of its users. Other than that, some studies were conducted on how it may impact testosterone levels, but the results were inconsistent, so they can’t be considered.

Garlic Powder

We couldn’t find any studies that supported this in testosterone boosters.

But garlic powder does have some other health benefits:

  • Improves immune system
  • Could reduce blood pressure
  • Could help balance cholesterol levels

Chrysin

This is sometimes used to treat erectile dysfunction, but only as an injection, so we can’t confirm this is beneficial in a pill.

Chrysin is commonly used in bodybuilding for its testosterone-boosting effects, but it also has some impact on treating anxiety, which I can confirm since I have seen some reports on how people are feeling less stressed.

Also, some studies have shown that it could potentially fight inflammation in the body and improve kidney function.

Boron

Boron has been linked to testosterone production, but it isn’t possible to say if it’s effective here without knowing the exact amount.

Multiple studies have shown its effects on promoting muscle and bone growth and improving muscle coordination.

This ingredient is essential because it aids in better absorption of Magnesium, which is another ingredient in this product.

Indole 3 Carbinol

I3C is more commonly used in detox products, so we’re not certain of the benefits in Monster Test.

Some studies claim that this ingredient could help prevent breast cancer, colon cancer, and other types of cancer. Also, it could help reduce estrogen while increasing testosterone levels.

Ginkgo Biloba

It’s often used in traditional Asian medicine for fertility, but studies have not been able to confirm a link to T count. Ginkgo Biloba is mainly used for improving memory and overall brain health.

We’ve seen some reports on how people have better focus during their workouts and less anxiety and more motivation, which may be related to this ingredient.

Zinc

This is an essential mineral for testosterone production, and Monster Test seems to have a good dose. Studies have shown that men who took Zinc daily had higher levels of free testosterone in their bodies compared to men who didn’t take Zinc.

Some other proven Zinc benefits are:

  • It helps strengthen the immune system
  • May speed up metabolism
  • It could improve wound healing

Magnesium

This is helpful for muscle function and recovery in athletes, where it may also provide increased energy levels.

One study has shown that Magnesium increased testosterone values in sedentary and athletic men.

Magnesium has other proven benefits; some of them are:

  • Could improve sleep
  • May strengthen bones
  • It may help with headaches/migraines

Pros And Cons

pros and cons sign

The main positive thing we would mention is the amount of zinc included.

This mineral has been medically tested and may help with a low T count.

However, many of the other ingredients fall into two categories.

Firstly, some of them haven’t been clinically proven to help, so we’re not convinced that they would increase the effectiveness of this product.

Secondly, the proprietary blend doesn’t tell us whether enough of those ingredients have been proven to work.

But looking at the total amount you take per day, we’re a bit skeptical that enough active ingredients are in this product to provide significant results.

We also found that some people didn’t like that the full dose is split over four tablets, which might be a struggle to swallow.

Pros
  • A good dose of Zinc may boost testosterone levels
  • Some bulk order options are on offer
Cons
  • Some of the ingredients are not supported by scientific trials
  • Ingredient amounts are hidden behind a proprietary blend
  • One serving requires taking four tablets

Monster Test Testosterone Side Effects

Side effects of Monster Test Testosterone

Natural testosterone boosters generally don’t cause many side effects.

Our dietitian confirmed that the contents of the Monster Test are generally easy on the body, and multiple reports I’ve read confirm that there were no noticeable side effects from taking this supplement.

But, testosterone fluctuations may negatively impact, especially if there are sudden spikes.

Things like mood swings and acne outbreaks could be possible from time to time, so you need to keep an eye on that.

We would also add that taking the full dose in one go as recommended could ultimately lead to spikes, so you may want to spread them out.

One option would be two tablets with breakfast and then 1 with lunch and dinner.

Here are other testosterone boosters you can try in case you experience side-effects:

Where To Buy?

A person online shopping on his phone

You can buy Monster Test on Amazon and the manufacturer's official website.

Some men have commented in reviews that they like the bulk order offers that are regularly available.

That’s something we do recommend for products that you end up taking daily.

Also, you have to be careful when it comes to all supplements. There have beeThat's reports of fake products online, which could have negative health impacts.

User Reviews

We weren’t convinced of this product based on our research, experience, and client testing.

But it’s important to also look at what users in fitness forums and Facebook groups are saying.

We pulled four reviews that seemed to confirm our findings that this product may not be the best choice.

Here are some of the reviews:

Frank didn’t have any noticeable effects after four weeks. He also tried an off-cycle, but he still didn’t get the results he was looking for his endurance and muscle building. - Frank from Singapore

Barry’s review mentioned some positive results for about two months but found that his T count continued to drop even after taking some off cycles. He eventually switched to some other supplement product. - Barry from Jacksonville

This product review was positive, and he found that his body reacted gradually. He doesn’t seem to be a performance athlete, so that may explain why his relatively low increase in testosterone was acceptable. - Dave from LA

Steve had gone through several testosterone boosters to find one that didn’t cause a sudden increase. He did mention that taking this Angry Supplements product as recommended seemed to cause spikes, but he was happy once he spread out the dosage. - Steve from Tulsa

How It Compares to Other Products

Testogen

Testogen aims to provide men with all-around testosterone advantages by providing a nutritious boost to the body.

The supplement contains high-quality nutrients such as D-aspartic acid, zinc, Korean ginseng, boron, fenugreek extract, vitamin D3, and K2.

Unlike Monster Testosterone Booster, which has a proprietary blend, TestoGen is a transparent mixture of 11 high-quality ingredients.

Compared to Monster Test Testosterone Booster, which comes only in tablet form, Testogen is available in two forms: capsules and booster drops, so you may choose whatever works best for you.

TestoFuel

TestoFuel is a dietary supplement designed to imitate the effect of anabolic hormones in the body naturally.

It is created using well-known organic substances such as herbs, vitamins, extracts, and minerals, all of which have been validated by numerous clinical tests and studies.

TestoFuel has 12 ingredients that have been scientifically proven to work, unlike Monster Test Testosterone Booster's proprietary combination, which does not indicate if enough of those ingredients have been shown to work.

TestoFuel and Monster Test Testosterone Booster come in capsule form, and are required to take 4 capsules daily for maximum benefits.

TestoPrime

TestoPrime is a well-rounded testosterone-boosting product with a completely natural, chemical-free formula.

While the product's primary function is to improve the body's capacity to increase testosterone production, it also assures the resolution of several other health concerns caused by its shortage.

TestoPrime contains 12 carefully selected high-value components, including D-aspartic acid, ashwagandha, fenugreek, and ginseng, all scientifically defined to have beneficial effects.

It claims to offer general nourishment to the body by controlling testosterone using these substances.

Furthermore, the benefits are long-term since taking the supplements consistently aids in addressing the hormonal problem at its source.

No, Monster Test Testosterone Booster isn’t a steroid. It uses natural herbs, minerals, and vitamins to get your body to produce more testosterone naturally.

Yes, you can take Monster Test Testosterone Booster every day, but you may want to plan regular off cycles. Your body could become less sensitive over time, resulting in a gradually lower T count.

Does This Supplement Get Our Approval?

Unfortunately, we have to say that we won’t be recommending this product.

It hasn’t given us the best results in muscle size or endurance. We also found that Monster Test reviews were quite mixed, giving us not much confidence.

Our clients are still mainly relying on a supplement called Testogen.

We have seen it measured increases in testosterone levels. Many users have reported positive effects from taking this supplement, such as improved stamina, better and faster muscle growth, more pumps during workouts, etc.

Another good thing about this supplement is that it’s pretty affordable because of its bulk discount options.

You can check out our detailed Testogen Review and let us know how your workout efforts improved.
